I have recently moved over to RootsMagic after using Generations, I find the new program very pleasant and easy to work with. It is this reason I am writing to you, to publicly thank your team through you for the most courteous and prompt action, even with the simple problems when I have made an enquiry.
I have never had such wonderful service from any of the other companies I have dealt with in the past. Please pass on my many thanks.
Also I would like to thank you for putting on line BMDIndex, having found several members of the family who have eluded me for quite some time. As I am now mainly housebound this service has been an enormous help in my hobby.
I wish to thank you for the wonderful job on the Staffs 1871. Having purchased a few Cd's from you in the past I have to say you are the best there is in purchasing good quality census cd's.
Just writing to say thanks for your prompt response to my recent order for the 1901 London census. I ordered this on Friday 25th June and the CD's arrived here in New Zealand yesterday 1st July. Thank you also for enclosing a copy of your latest catalogue and must confess I have already earmarked a few items for future purchase. I was also impressed with the quality of the CD's as well as their content and format for ease of use.
Excellent work, well done and as General McArthur once said, "I will return".
May I congratulate you all on the excellent scans of the 1841 Yorkshire census which I received a few weeks ago. I debated whether to buy this or not as I had a previous version, purchased from someone else (who had better remain nameless!) but am very glad I did. In spite of the difficulties with the original of which I am well aware the results seem to be as good as the other census. Well done! I would like to do more census transcribing for Yorkshire and would like to ask which year is nearest to completion please? It would seem to be better to spend time on this one first.
I just wanted to thank you for this marvellous product. I was away when it came so have only been able to use it fairly recently, but it has given me hours of pleasure, searching at home, and I have found it straightforward to use. I thought you might like to know of my particular use, which is as a disabled person, needing to use a wheelchair outside my home. Record offices, even the London ones which try hard to be accessible, are hard work and often literally painful. Apart from that, every trip to London is expensive. I am really thrilled to be able to use the 1891 census just as if I were at the FRC, only more comfortably!
Just received my copies of the 1891 London Census CDs. Absolutely marvelous! Found half a dozen ancestors already, just by 'walking the streets'. Well done on a truly fantastic job. Worth every penny. Can't wait for the other years.
Just to let you know, I received my 1891 London Census set Saturday, 13 Oct. It is a joy to use, and even without a surname index. It sure beats waiting & scrolling through films, allowing me to click through the pages instead. The printouts are excellent. Looking forward to your other Census sets.
I have found the 1891 London census a pleasure to use with clear and sharp images having none of the tramline markings that the well worn fiche can have. It is a lot easier to use and doesn't have the restraints of the time I can spare in record offices.
Just had my first dip into the 1891 census for London. Would like to say what a good job you have done. Its User Friendly and even I have managed to find my way around without too much difficulty.
Thank you!!! At last I have found my only two outstanding great-great grandparents and the highly elusive great grandfather who I couldn't trace before his marriage — I've been hunting for him for twenty years!
I had a look at the site this morning and thought it was excellent. The sign-in process was easy, and the searches were fast... Congratulations on an important new genealogical initiative!
